All memberships below are for ONE year only and require annual renewal and completion of a renewal form each year which includes a series of questions

Friends of ACC and PCUK Being a “Friend of ACC and PCUK” is a way of supporting the work of the Association of Christian Counsellors and its sister organisation Pastoral Care UK. This category is open to anyone who is interested in our work. Benefits include the Accord magazine and discounts for Events. UK and Overseas NO
Individual Counsellor memberships
Registered Counsellor Membership* or first time applicants Registered Membership All individual practising Counsellors or Psychotherapists with a minimum Level 4 award/qualification or Higher Education Diploma in Counselling and/or Psychotherapy (see ‘Student Membership’ if still in training) * Please note that from 1st January 2018 all ACC’s counsellors practising in the UK are required to have Registered Membership * Once you are registered member of ACC it is possible to proceed to become Accredited as a Counsellor, Supervisor, or Manager. See our Accreditation Pages for details. UK and Overseas YES, subject to approval
Joint Transfer Route for Transfer of Accreditation This is available to members of BACP, UKCP, COSCA and BABCP contact us at registrar@acc-uk.org or use this link to the Joint Transfer form

UK and Overseas YES, subject to approval
Student Membership
Student on certificate courses L2 and L3 For those on courses to become Counsellors UK only; no Overseas NO
Level 4 and above (levels 5, 6, 7 + ) on a qualifying training course For those on courses to become Counsellors UK and Overseas NO
Individual Pastoral Care membership
Pastoral Care (PCUK) Individual Membership For those involved in the wider aspects of pastoral care and who may use counselling skills, whilst not being a Counsellor. UK and Overseas NO
Organisational Membership
Counselling Affiliated Organisations Affiliated Organisation or Affiliated Training Organisation, depending on their work. UK Only; No Overseas YES, subject to approval
PCUK Affiliated Membership This is for a church or organisation belonging and responsible to a wider community such as a denomination or central organisation. UK and Overseas
PCUK Sole Affiliated Membership Any single church or organisation which does not belong to or is not accountable to a wider grouping. UK and Overseas
Other information
Fellowships ACC has a long established way of recognising the contributions that individuals have made towards the work of ACC /PCUK and the wider world of Christian counselling and pastoral care through the awarding of Honorary Fellowships and Fellowships.
