Sue has been the Chair of ACC since 2019, having previously served as Deputy Chair and Finance Director. Sue has been counselling for nearly 30 years, working within church settings and private practice, and is a Registered Accredited Counsellor with ACC. With her husband Chris, they lead WINGS (Wholeness in God’s Son), which provides counselling, training for counsellors and pastoral carers (including being a trainer for ACC) and leading retreats. They have a particular concern for caring for those in caring roles and set up ACC’s Disability and Neurodiversity Group having found themselves working in these areas.

She is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and worked for 30 years in finance and project management in international banks in the City of London. She continues to work as an accountant in private practice for individuals, small companies and charities.

Since 2020, Sue has chaired panels for the CofE Interim Support Scheme to support survivors of church abuse.

Sue loves cooking, travelling and watching sport. She is a life-long West Ham supporter, which she would describe as an exercise in psychological resilience!!
