Head of Professional Standards / RegistrarMarie joined the ACC staff team in July 2025. Her career started in publishing where she worked in a variety of roles across editorial, project management, operations and customer services for over 20 years, she then spent a few years consulting and has experience in the charity world. She recently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling at Waverley Abbey College which she found an incredibly special and affirming experience.
Alongside her role here, she runs her own private counselling practice and supports a low-cost counselling agency as a counsellor and assessor.
She lives in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, with her husband, two daughters and a beloved cavapoo puppy. They love life within this welcoming, lively community by the Thames but also enjoy visiting family in South Wales, where one daughter is currently at university, because seeing the sea regularly is an absolute must!
