Lynn has been a member of the ACC since the 1990’s when she took a Level 3 Counsellor Training Course in Essex where she lived at the time. She now lives in the Midlands.
Lynn is an Accredited Counsellor and a qualified Supervisor and is currently in private practice based in her home in Coventry. Prior to this, she spent 16 years managing a counselling service affiliated to the ACC having helped to set this up in 2007. The provision of affordable counselling for those unable to afford a private therapist is something she feels is of great importance and, and if elected to the Board, Lynn would like to be involved in supporting and guiding those who are currently managing affiliated services.
In addition to her counselling and supervision work, Lynn has been studying for a Masters’ qualification with Waverley Abbey College which is now nearing completion. Her dissertation is about the challenges Christian counsellors experience when working with clients who have sexual difficulties, a topic with which she has a particular interest in. Before training as a counsellor, she worked as a secondary school teacher and enjoys using teaching skills to train adults. For several years, she provided training on the Manna House Level 3 Course. Lynn is looking forward to doing some training at the ACC online conference in November.
She has been married to Jeff for 45 years. They have four children and five grandchildren. They are active members of an Anglican Church.
