Keith’s first career was in analytical chemistry where he spent 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry at Burroughs Wellcome in Dartford, Kent and later in Parke-Davis, Pontypool, South Wales. For six weeks he was seconded to Pharma-Deko, an affiliate of Parke-Davis in Nigeria.
Following redundancy he had a two-year stint as a driving instructor in Cardiff plus other driving jobs.
For over 30 years he has worked in accounts and payroll in the commercial and charity sectors for Ryan Mining (Port Talbot), Ty Draw & Wentworth Lodges (Care Homes in Cardiff) and Everycare (Cardiff) Ltd. Then following a move to the West Midlands in 2000, he had a couple of temporary positions as Payroll Manager for Warwickshire Police for two years and in accounts for City Electrical factors for six months.
In 2003 he became self-employed and had a mix of work as well as accounts doing property improvement: plumbing, decorating and kitchen installations. In 2004 he started accounts work in the charity sector for The Well Christian Healing Centre in Leamington Spa and joined ACC in 2012. Since 2006 he has been working one day a week for a Swiss company in Southam, initially in accounts and later in accreditation work.
Since the end of 2015 he is regarded as semi-retired, but on average still works for half a week.
As an active Christian, Keith spent two years in Asmara, Eritrea working for a Christian Mission and also took part in about a dozen aid trips to Romania in the 1990s. Currently he leads a group of Lay Chaplains and a Prayer Team at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon. He is also on the Prayer Team at The Well Christian Healing Centre in Leamington Spa.
He is married to lovely Val, has two amazing daughters and four beautiful grandchildren.
His hobbies include travel, walking and cycling in moderation, skiing, model railways and following F1 and World Cup Ski racing. His musical tastes are mainly contemporary Christian, Blues, Rock, 90s Dance and Chilled House, to name a few, but not much classical!
