Jennie is currently a coach, mentor, supervisor and trainer. Having spent 25 years as a registered nurse working within the NHS and the third sector, she is motivated to train, coach, and mentor the next generation of people who integrate their faith with practice. Alongside nursing qualifications, Jennie also studied theology to the master’s degree level, focusing on the faith formation of children, young people and community development. She is a senior practitioner coach accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.
As a coach, she has a private practice and supports the development of Christian Coaching Training courses.
In recent years, she has worked part-time as a school chaplain in Grantham, near her home, and is an accredited local preacher for the Methodist Church. As an active member of the Methodist Church, Jennie also offers supervision to lay and ordained ministers. She is also inspired to ensure that pastoral care is understood, recognising its essential role in providing good practice and compassionate care within Christian contexts. Over the years, this has led Jennie to serve within the Acorn Christian Healing Foundation, developing Pastoral care and listening courses.
Since 2020, and as a direct result of witnessing the impact of COVID on people in many contexts, she became part of the development team of OutoftheBoxStories. OutoftheBox is a process that uses stories and play to facilitate a search for wisdom and well-being among people of all ages. It empowers people to rediscover the power of stories, opening their imagination and bringing transformational experiences to individuals and groups.
Jennie is married to Ian and has two grown-up daughters
