This training is suitable for experienced pastoral carers and church leaders who wish to understand more about addiction and how they can support those suffering with addiction and their families within their churches and communities.

Training objective: This trainer-led workshop aims to increase pastoral carers’ understanding of the experience and impact of addiction, and how churches can support both the individuals suffering with addiction and their loved ones.

This training includes:

  • Exploring the mechanics of addiction physically, psychologically and spiritually.
  • The interventions and signposting that support recovery
  • The role of boundaries and relapse prevention
  • Supporting the families and loved ones
