Advanced Certificate in Counselling Skills (level 4)

Network is proud of the quality and professionalism of its training programme. We base our teaching on the belief that all individuals are a complex unity of body, mind, soul and spirit. In recognising the spiritual aspect as universal, we offer a dimension to our courses that we believe is unique in counselling training. This Advanced Certificate course is suitable for students wishing to train as counsellors, and progress to an Advanced Diploma level training – with Network or elsewhere. It is also ideal for those simply wishing to develop their listening and counselling skills for use in other roles and settings such as pastoral care, management, nursing or teaching. Advanced Diploma in Counselling (level 5)

This is Network’s flagship course. Over two years we build the theoretical framework, practical skills and personal development needed to work as a professional counsellor.   It is suited to students who have completed substantial Certificate level training.  What makes this course different is its emphasis on the integration of faith, spirituality and counselling practice. In addition to covering the same ground that is covered by comparable humanistic and Person-Centred Diploma courses, this course will also give you the opportunity to develop your understanding of human spirituality and to explore the interface between your own developing spirituality and your practice.

Advanced Level 6 Diploma in Integrative Creative and Play Therapy – 1 years

Our advanced level 6 in Integrative creative and play therapy runs over 1 year and is accredited through the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists.

BA (Hons) Counselling

Duration
A four or five year part-time programme. We recommend that you apply to complete in five years and reassess your completion date towards the end of the third year depending on your available time for study.

Christian Coaching and Mentoring

Gain professional accreditation with EMCC, integrate faith and spirituality in your practice and develop your coaching and mentoring skills. Explore a theological framework and safe working practices for integrative coaching and mentoring. Learn alongside others, with the support of a personal coach practice mentor and with experienced tutors. The course starts in September 2025 and runs through to July 2026.

Counselling Young People: Skills and Competences

This is a 4-day course for Post-qualified counsellors who wish to begin working with young people (aged 11-18), or current counselling students on adult-focused counselling/psychotherapy training courses who wish to undertake some of their placement hours with young people.

Diploma in Working with Compulsive Sexual Behaviour Disorder and Sex Addiction

The Diploma in Working with Compulsive Sexual Behaviour Disorder and Sex Addiction has been developed to provide counsellors, psychotherapists, sex therapists and addiction specialists with the tools to assess and treat CSBD and sex & porn addiction from a BioPsychoSocial perspective. We teach a culturally sensitive, sex positive, health-based approach to overcoming compulsive sexual behaviours.  Delegates will also gain the necessary skills to work with partners and support couples and families in recovery.

Entry Award in Creative and Play Counselling Skills for Children and Young People

This is our entry course into our Advanced Level 6 Diploma in Integrative Creative and Play Therapy. If you don’t have any previous counselling experience, this is the course for you. Taking you through basic principles and skills. This is an experiential and theory based course and will cover basic counselling skills.
