This membership is for those offering coaching/mentoring services who do not hold accreditation with one of the approved coaching/mentoring bodies. An ACC verified member can advertise with us as a coach/mentor and where appropriate as a supervisor of coaching/mentoring practice and/or a pastoral supervisor.
By becoming ACC verified, you are indicating to clients that you have met the standards of training and experience set by ACC for being able to practise as a coach/mentor.
The standards are:
- A minimum of 50 hours of training delivered by UK-based training providers. This training must include live, interactive (synchronous) teaching, observed practice with feedback, study of coaching and mentoring theory, structured skills practice, and practitioner reflection and review.
- A minimum of 50 hours coaching/mentoring practice gained over a period of up to three years with a minimum of five individual clients.

- Connecting with other Christians providing coaching/mentoring in differing ministry contexts.
Commitments
As an ACC verified member, you must:
- Have regular supervision in line with your practice setting and client hours (suggest a minimum of four hours of supervised practice per year).
- Undertake a minimum of 25 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training/activities per year.
- Agree to undertake ACC’s training on integrating Christian faith with coaching/mentoring practice within an agreed time period (normally within 2 years of membership), unless you can evidence having done an equivalent course.
- Adhere to ACC’s Code of Ethics for Coaching and Mentoring.
- Be guided by the Churchill Framework for Coaching and Mentoring when integrating faith/religion/spirituality in your coaching practice.
- Accept ACC’s terms and conditions of membership.
- Agree with ACC’s Statement of Faith.
- Maintain professional indemnity insurance for your practice..
