To join ACC as an accredited coach, you will need to be a current member of one or more of the following bodies. To remain in membership as an accredited coach, you will need to also maintain your membership of one or more of these bodies.

Please note that once accepted as an accredited coach you will need to maintain your accreditation with your professional body. Otherwise, you can contact us with a view to transferring to an ACC verified membership.

  • Recognition of your practice by a national membership body of Christians in coaching/mentoring.
  • Warm, timely, individual support, with help and advice from a team with professional knowledge and expertise.
  • Being able to advertise your coaching service on ACC’s directory of coaches/mentors and where appropriate your supervision practice.
  • Demonstrating your safety and accountability to clients by following ACC’s Code of Ethics for Coaching and Mentoring and the Churchill Framework for Coaching and Mentoring.
  • Receipt of the accord journal.
  • Discount on ACC events and training courses.
  • Free attendance at members’ forums on topics relating to coaching/mentoring, linked professions and the Christian faith.
  • Connecting with other Christians providing coaching/mentoring in differing ministry contexts

Commitments

As an accredited member, you must:

  • Maintain your membership of your accrediting body and adhere to their membership requirements for ethical practice, supervision and continuous professional development.
  • Agree to undertake ACC’s training on integrating Christian faith with coaching/mentoring practice within an agreed time period (normally within two years of membership), unless you can evidence having done an equivalent course.
  • Adhere to ACC’s Code of Ethics for Coaching and Mentoring.
  • Be guided by the Churchill Framework for Coaching and Mentoring when integrating faith/religion/spirituality in your coaching practice.
  • Accept ACC’s terms and conditions of membership.
  • Agree with ACC’s Statement of Faith.
  • Maintain professional indemnity insurance for your practice.
