Pastoral Care Part 2: Developing knowledge and awareness

Pastoral Care Part 2: Developing knowledge and awareness

Deepen your skills. Grow in confidence. Strengthen your pastoral ministry.

Pastoral Care Part 2: Developing knowledge and awareness is a six-session online course designed for experienced pastoral carers who want to develop their understanding and grow in self-awareness as they support others.

Building on ACC's Pastoral Care Part 1: Foundations, this course offers further learning for those already engaged in pastoral care ministry and seeking fresh insights, practical tools, and a deeper understanding of the challenges people face.

Who is this course for?

This course is ideal for:

  • Experienced pastoral carers actively involved in supporting others
  • Those who regularly encounter a wide range of pastoral care needs
  • Individuals wishing to refresh and expand their existing knowledge and skills
  • Anyone who has previously completed ACC's Pastoral Care Part 1: Foundations or the former Resourcing Pastoral Care course

If you have completed pastoral care training elsewhere or have significant practical experience, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please get in touch to discuss your background and whether this course is the right fit for you.

If you are new to pastoral care training, we recommend beginning with Pastoral Care Part 1: Foundations.

Throughout the programme you will:

  • Apply pastoral care principles to real-life situations

  • Develop greater self-awareness
  • Reflect on your own faith journey and spiritual growth
