AGM 2025 & Exploring Trust in Counselling and Pastoral Care

AGM 2025 & Exploring Trust in Counselling and Pastoral Care

We will start the day at 9.30am with training on “Exploring Trust in Counselling and Pastoral Care” by our Chair Sue Monckton-Rickett; the AGM itself will take place from 1pm to 4pm.

09:30 - 12:15 Exploring Trust in Counselling and Pastoral Care

We know that trust is so important in relationships including counselling and pastoral care relationships, but it is often one of those words like forgiveness “easy to say, difficult to do!”.

So, in the training workshop of the ACC AGM we will explore:

  • What does trust mean for us and those we work with?
  • As Christians what does trust mean?
  • How important is trust for our mental, spiritual and emotional health?
  • What is the impact on individuals and relationships when trust is never established or has been broken?
  • How do we build trust and work to restore trust?
  • What does it mean for us as counsellors and pastoral carers to be someone who is trusted?

13:00 – 16:00 AGM

Agenda and papers will be sent to members on or around 16th June.
