Pre-requisite Information: A degree or diploma* in counselling, which includes: 450 tutor contact hours 100 hours** or more of clinical practice *For those with diplomas in counselling, you are typically expected to hold a degree in another subject (2:1 or above). If you are a qualified counsellor without any degree, but you have significant counselling experience, please still apply. Your counselling experience matters. **By the time you reach the third module of Year 2 (Counselling and Psychotherapy Supervision), students are expected to have completed 300 hours supervised clinical practice as a counsellor/psychotherapist.
For those already practising, gain a Level 7 Master’s degree online in 3 years alongside your existing practice and become a clinical supervisor—with direct ACC accreditation (SCoPEd Column B) as a graduate outcome.
Course Overview
This programme provides Level 7 postgraduate training for practising counsellors, enabling you to deepen your clinical practice, practice as a clinical supervisor, and gain a Master’s degree in Counselling. Studied 100% online and part-time, the course is designed for working counsellors who want to progress professionally without stepping away from client work. It also provides direct accreditation with ACC UK (at SCoPEd Column B) as a graduate outcome.
