Are you or is there anyone in your team or network that might benefit from this short course designed to support people that have roles, either personally or professionally, that require them to listen and support the emotional needs and wellbeing of others?
This course is designed to encourage the development of essential listening and responding skills that are vital in building relationships, forming trusting connections, and supporting others in an effective and appropriate manner.
During the course, attendees will also explore the importance of self-care and the necessity of intentionally attending to one’s own physical and emotional resources and capacity when supporting others. The course will be delivered through a mixture of teaching, group work, and skills practice sessions. It also provides a first step for anyone considering training to become a counsellor.
The Introduction to Counselling and Listening Skills course is a 15-hour in-person course. It will run on the following dates:
Weekend options
Friday 15th and Saturday 16th November 2024 – 9am to 5pm
Friday 13th and Saturday 14th June 2025 – 9am to 5pm
Evening option
Wednesdays 26th Feb, 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th March 2025 – 6pm to 9pm .
We are offering an early bird rate for those wishing to attend this training. Bookings must be made at least a month before the course start date to secure the lower rate. Places are limited, and so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
