Head of Counselling at Network Counselling & Training

Network Counselling & Training is looking for a new Head of Counselling to lead and manage a busy counselling service. You will be responsible for all aspects of the service; managing the waiting list, allocating clients and counsellors, monitoring and evaluating our work. You will recruit and manage counsellors, ensuring they work in a safe and ethical manner. You will have experience in running a counselling service, safeguarding, and risk management. This is a senior leadership role within the charity, so will contribute to cross-organisational work including strategy, culture, and business development projects.

image is a Christian charity providing support for pregnancy crisis and baby loss.

We are seeking two people to join our Board of Trustees to help oversee and shape the future of image. Therapeutic Hub Head of Service - Greenwich (TLG)

Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) is a Christian emotional and mental wellbeing charity partnering with local churches to bring fullness of life to every child.

TLG is seeking a skilled and compassionate clinician to lead a pioneering church Therapeutic Hub in Greenwich, London. Established in partnership with a local church, the Hub will meet growing emotional and mental health needs among children, young people and families.

At a glance

  • Client group: survivors of rape and sexual abuse (age ranges: 12–17 and 18+)
  • Locations: Chichester, Worthing, and online (West Sussex)
  • Typical caseload: 10 clients (2 days) per role
  • Session fee: £32.48 per 1.5-hour session (60 minutes therapy + 30 minutes admin)
  • Support: monthly external clinical supervision, monthly CPD, training, senior therapist and IT support

Lifecentre is a charity providing specialist therapeutic services to survivors of rape and sexual abuse.

Working from three in-person locations across West Sussex, as well as online and by telephone or email.

These roles are offered on a self-employed basis.

Session fee: £32.48 per 1.5-hour session (60 minutes therapy + 30 minutes admin).

Lifecentre are looking for an experienced therapist, ideally accredited (or working towards accreditation) with BACP, UKCP, BAPT or ACC. Management and safeguarding experience is desirable.

You will be competent in trauma work with people who have experienced rape or sexual abuse and able to demonstrate a solid foundation in delivering three-phase trauma therapy.

Lifecentre will provide:

  • Monthly external clinical supervision
  • Monthly CPD via Lifecentre team meetings
  • Pre-trial therapy training (for successful candidates)
  • Support from our Senior Therapists
  • IT support
  • Development opportunities within Lifecentre’s therapeutic service

Qualified Self-Employed Counsellor (CYP) + Placement Student Counsellor Opportunities (3 Positions) - Revive Counselling & Wellbeing CIC

Are you passionate about walking alongside children and young people at a time when being heard truly matters?

At Revive Counselling & Wellbeing CIC, our vision is to help children, young people, and families live life to the full through accessible, compassionate counselling and wellbeing support. We are growing our school-based provision and are seeking:

  • 1 x Self-Employed Counsellor (qualified)
  • 3 x Placement Student Counsellors

to join our supportive and values-led team within a secondary school setting.

This is more than a role — it’s an opportunity to be part of a relational, reflective and faith-informed community, making a meaningful difference in young people’s lives.

The Role (Qualified Counsellor)

  • 1-2 days per week (term-time) within a secondary school in Derby
  • Delivering 1:1 counselling sessions to 5–6 students per day
  • Working as part of a wider, integrated wellbeing provision within school
  • Managing clinical notes, safeguarding processes, and communication appropriately
  • £30 per session (self-employed contract)

About You 

  • Qualified counsellor (minimum Level 4 Diploma or equivalent)
  • Training and experience aligned with the BACP CYP Competency Framework
  • Experience of working with children and young people (CYP)
  • Able to work independently within a school setting
  • Committed to ethical and professional practice

Placement Opportunities (Student Counsellors)

We are offering 3 placement opportunities for counsellors in training who are passionate about working with children and young people.

Placement students will:

  • Deliver 1:1 counselling within a supported school environment within Derby

Gain experience specifically with CYP client work

  • Receive regular support, guidance, and opportunities for reflective practice

About You (Placement Students)

  • Placement students must be enrolled on a counselling course that:
    • Includes specific training for working with CYP, and
    • Allow placement hours to be gained through CYP client work
  • Students to work in line with the BACP Children and Young People Competency Framework and ACC requirements
  • Students must be able to engage in reflective practice and supervision and;
  • Be passionate about supporting young people in a school environment
