Take your practice further

If you’re an experienced counsellor or psychotherapist ready to deepen your work with developmental and relational trauma — and to evidence advanced or senior practice — this diploma is built for you.

Over 15 months you’ll learn Anastasis, our integrative model that brings familiar, well-practised theory together with a positively psychological approach to wellbeing and recovery from trauma. It’s demanding, relational training that changes how you work, not just what you know.

Why this course

  • Fully mapped to SCoPEd Columns B and C — so your learning evidences the competencies required for advanced and senior accreditation.
  • A substantive research project at the heart of the second half of the course, meeting the Column C research requirement.
  • Accredited training with CPCAB, grounded in their respected seven-process model.
  • Assessment that isn’t only essays. We offer alternative media for some assignments as part of our commitment to inclusion.
  • Your own personalised model of therapy — you’ll develop and articulate it as a core assignment.

How it works

  • Two online sessions a month on consecutive Fridays and Saturdays — a 3-hour theoretical seminar and a 4-hour interactive session.
  • Three residentials in October 2026, March 2027 and November 2027, for in-person experiential work, group cohesion and immediate criteria achievement. Accommodation and food are included in your fee.
  • A portfolio of evidence uploaded to our Moodle platform — written assignments, presentations, a case study, peer feedback, tutor observations and supervisory feedback.
  • Close tutor support, with observation and feedback designed to stretch and hone your practice.

What you’ll commit to

  • 130 guided learning hours, with 80% minimum attendance
  • Around 4–5 hours a week of independent study alongside sessions
  • A minimum of 20 hours of personal therapy
  • 30 hours of relevant professional development
  • At least 1.5 hours of clinical supervision each month

Total Qualification Time: 500 hours
