Pre-requisite Information: There is no specific eligibility criteria however Image will request a reference from a church or pregnancy centre leader because this is a sensitive area of ministry. The course may appeal to Christians in pastoral settings who want to be equipped to support those making pregnancy decisions, and for those wanting to work in Christian pregnancy centres.
Image’s Christian Pregnancy Counselling skills course aims to explore the basic counselling skills and information areas needed to support people facing pregnancy decision, an abortion, miscarriage, child loss, or child separation. Its purpose is to provide a foundation for Christians working, or seeking to work in pregnancy centres, community based church projects and related areas of ministry. The course is accompanied by a training manual which will be a valuable resource for individuals, churches, and centres.
Five Monthly Modules: Each module is delivered over one weekend, comprising sessions on Friday evening (7:00 PM – 8:30 PM) and Saturday morning (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM).
