Borderline Counselling Services - Sessional Counsellor

Borderline Counselling Services is a charity offering person-centred counselling across the North-West of Cumbria and Scottish borders. They are based in the centre of Carlisle, located five minutes from the train station. They are a small team, comprised of counsellors, volunteer administrators, and trustees. Borderline Counselling Services has been offering support for thirty years and is well known in the region. They offer counselling to individuals affected by a broad range of mental health and emotional issues. They provide a caring, compassionate, and welcoming therapeutic space where people can find the support they need to heal at a pace that’s right for them.

They are currently seeking a sessional counsellor to join their team.

Requirements for the sessional counsellor role:

  • Self-employed sessional counsellor
  • £25 per hour on sessional-basis contract
  • In-person counselling, with some scope for online
  • Attendance of staff meeting once a month

Requirements:

  • Qualified counsellor with professional registration
  • Recognised qualification (diploma or equivalent)
  • Membership/registration with ACC

Bishop's Adviser in Pastoral Care and Counselling

The acting Bishop of Worcester is looking for a self-employed consultant who will co-ordinate our Diocesan Counselling Service. The service provides vital emotional and psychological help for clergy and their families, lay workers and diocesan employees.

The role of Bishop’s Adviser will also hold a wider brief for the well-being of clergy and is involved in other initiatives which aim to support clergy in their personal and ministerial development, including reflective practice.

The role will be for an equivalent day per week and an annual fee of £8,000 will be paid (quarterly).
