A minimum of a Level 4 award or Diploma in Higher Education will be required. If you are a UK resident and believe you have obtained equivalent qualifications outside of the UK please contact the Registrar (contact details below). If you live and work overseas then you can become a counselling member of ACC, but cannot join the register. For overseas residents you can join as a member by clicking here and selecting ‘counsellor member overseas’ from the drop down menu.
To join the Register as a UK resident click here and selecting ‘Registered Member’ and completing the necessary information. You will need a scanned file of your highest counselling qualification; a scanned file of your insurance certificate and your last year CPD record unless just qualified. Your registration maybe delayed if these are not uploaded.
Qualified counsellors who are eligible for the Register and who are on a practice break may be able to join the Register in preparation for commencing practice. If this applies to you please contact the Registrar by telephoning the Head Office or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss this with us. [Details of ACC’s practice break guidelines are available on the website in Counsellor Guidance Documents under the Professional Development Tab.]
