Dual Registration

Dual registration is when a counsellor, for professional or other reasons, has chosen to belong to two or more professional bodies in their field. It is even possible for example for a nurse or a doctor who are on a medical register to train in counselling or psychotherapy and thus be on registers in two different but allied fields. We are providing here links to other professional bodies so that you may know of them and if necessary be able to access them easily to progress enquiries or complaints.

Association of Child Psychotherapists

British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapyy Bacp also hold a register and it has a separate webssite BACP Register

British Association of Play Therapists

British Psychoanalytic Council

COSCA

General Medical Council

Health and Care Professions Council

The National Counselling Society

The Nursing and Midwifery Council
