Pastoral Care UK aims to provide training resources which enable:

  • ALL of church to develop quality relationships
  • SOME of church to develop their pastoral gifts
  • a FEW of church to equip the all and the some

Each resource is interactive raising questions, encouraging the sharing of experience, embracing discussion, developing skills where appropriate and using scripture and prayer.

This 2 hour trainer led workshop is suitable for ALL church members. It considers the development of quality relationships in our churches and communities in response to the command to love one another, grow disciples and participate in God’s mission of reconciliation. It can be delivered to small or large groups in an evening, daytime or extended Sunday service.

This 6 session, self-led small group course is suitable for ALL church members (eg home groups, cell groups and fellowship groups) as well as SOME church members involved, or thinking about becoming involved, in pastoral care in the church and community.

resourcing pastoral carers course (formerly the pastoral care foundation course) ... a resource for SOME of church

This 10 session, trainer led course is available through our regional training scheme and is suitable for SOME who are called into pastoral care, as well as the FEW who are called through leadership, training or specialist roles to resource the ALL and the SOME.

This three day residential course equips trainers to facilitate the resourcing pastoral carers course and enables them to become part of pastoral care uk’s regional training scheme), equipping them to facilitate the resourcing pastoral carers course and in some instances the developing quality relationships workshop. The training the trainers course will accommodate a maximum of 10 participants who will need to undertake an application process and afford their own costs.
