We would like to invite you to an ACC Affiliates Forum entitled ‘Working Together in a Time of Change’. It will be held at Earlsdon Methodist Church, Coventry.
Please see the full information by clicking Programme and venue.
Tea, coffee & refreshments together with a sandwich lunch will be provided.
We are holding this event in response to changes in the profession, most notably the introduction of the Voluntary Accredited Register.
We want to discuss with you the changes that this brings for ACC affiliates, and share the knowledge we have about other potential changes in the pipeline.
ACC is also undergoing change, with two new Directors settling into post, and we also want to share some of the vision we have about moving forward together.
However, the main focus of the day is to facilitate an open discussion about the continuing benefits of ACC membership.
We would like to explore how we can better support each other in our missional work, working together to promote the value of our trainee and qualified counsellors and our counselling and training provision, in the service of the health and wellbeing of our local communities. Finally we are hoping to explore potential synergies with our pastoral care arm and PC-UK training resources.
We are looking forward to welcoming many of you as are able to come to this important event.
Please reply by return e-mail and not later than the Thursday 22nd June to Eileen email@example.com stating how many people will be coming and any special dietary requiremen
We appreciate that not all of you will be able to attend this event. However, we would really appreciate your feedback, thoughts and reflections on the questions we hope to explore. We can then include your views ‘by proxy’ at the forum.
The questions are to be found here Forum Discussion questions
There is a special deal for members of ACC affiliates who have not yet taken out individual membership. They have a once only opportunity to join ACC for £50 (form attached). We are re-sending the information in case you missed it first time round.
We would be grateful if you could encourage your members to join the ACC’s Register of counsellors before the deadline of December 2017. This is particularly important for counsellors that do not have a level 4 diploma in counselling as they will not be able to join the register after this time and their membership of ACC will cease. For further information please see Accord magazine Spring 2017 ‘The ACC Accredited Register – Don’t Miss Out’ [PDF attached]
The very best wishes
The ACC team
