ACC SW: October 2009 conference and AGM
The ACC SW conference and AGM was held in Exeter on 17 October 2009.
The conference topic was Living with a Problem Drinker, an excellent day of training led by Dr. John McMahon and Lou Lewis. John and Lou gave much of themselves and the day had a very real impact upon those who attended. In all sorts of situations attendees will now be able to draw upon their words and understanding of this most difficult and challenging subject. We thank them both very much indeed.
At the short AGM, Margot Haley resigned as our regional rep and chair. We are most grateful to Margot for taking us forward in the past two years. There have been helpful and significant additions to the ACC SW committee in her time including Rev. Andrew Rose as our pastoral care rep, and Linda Van Peborgh who is on the national accreditation group. (Linda is willing to answer any questions on accreditation so we are fortunate to have her in our midst.) We would also like to thank Joyce Howitt (Treasurer); Tony Bryant and Lou Lewis for their ongoing support.
Wendy Haslam was elected as the new regional rep and chair.
