For those who are accredited or are working towards accreditation as a counsellor.
Benefits:
Counsellor membership does not, in itself, indicate competence to counsel or any level of accreditation. It is open to those who can agree with the “Statement of Faith” and will abide by ACC’s “Code of Ethics” and are willing to pay the annual fee.
N.B :- It is important that all applications are made on the current forms. It is incumbent upon those making the application to check with the ACC Head Office that the forms they are filling in are the appropriate ones.
Counsellor members may become accredited members with ACC. Please find more information about accreditation on the link opposite.
This type of membership is for those who befriend and care for people, either in the context of a church fellowship or in the wider community. Applicants are required to sign that they agree with and will abide by the ACC's “Ethics and Practice" for Pastoral Care and that they agree with the ACC's “Statement of Faith”.
Benefits:
A student who enrols on an ACC recognised Introduction (Level 2) training course has the potential to become a student member. If the course is funded through ACC then student membership is free for one year. If the course is not funded through ACC the training agency has the opportunity to register students under this category. If a student progresses onto an ACC recognised and funded Certificate (Level3) training course student membership is automatically extended until the end of the course. If the course is not funded through ACC then the training agency once again has the opportunity to pay to register students under this category. Diploma students are required to be members of a professional body, preferably ACC, and are responsible for fees connected with that choice. A reduced membership fee is available to students studying for a Diploma.
This is open to all who wish to receive accord magazine four times a year. Keep up to date with what's current in the world of Christian counselling.
