If an accredited member has, through special personal circumstances, had to significantly reduce their counselling activities they can explore the possibility of joining the 'Emeritus' category.
Requirements for accreditation in the 'Emeritus' Category :-
i) This category is not available to anyone who has had accreditation withdrawn by the Association.
ii) No case study required.
iii) This category is not available to those who are maintaining a work load
which could gain a full accreditation.
Certification lasts for four years but applicants will be invited to reassess their level of membership after three and a quarter years to avoid any member having an obsolete certificate. At this point an 'Emeritus' category member will have two options. At this point an 'Emeritus' category member will have two options :-
Option1. To apply for a Maintenance certificate which would require :-
All the original documents completed up to date with new references supplied (no case study required).
Option2.
Apply, if appropriate, for another category.
Re-accrediting from pre January 2005 levels
Those who were accredited under the system in force before January
2005 will be sent details of the appropriate new level to apply for
when their accreditation is due for renewal.
