Counsellor Manager

When a person has gained extensive experience (in excess of 10 years) in counselling and supervisory practice and is now spending considerable time managing and training counsellors and/or managing an Agency they may apply in this category.

Requirements for accreditation as a Counsellor Manager :-

Certification lasts for four years but applicants will be invited to reassess their level of membership after three and a quarter years to avoid any member having an obsolete certificate. At this point a Counsellor Manager will have two options.

Option 1.

To apply for a Maintenance certificate which would require :-

i) all the original documents completed up to date with new references supplied.
ii) produce additional documentation showing evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD) undertaken in line with the guidelines given for statutory regulation when implemented, until then to undertake further training of at least 40 hours during the four year validity of the certificate.

Option 2.

Apply, if appropriate, for another category.
